First Student Launches Three New Internet Sites
Litchfield, N.H. (April 1, 2002) -Working to improve knowledge about student transportation systems, First Student launches three new Internet sites:
·
www.FirstStudentInc.com - To educate the public on what is available in the arena of school transportation
·
www.FirstStudentKids.com - To educate the younger audience about bus safety in a fun, interactive manner with safety tips, trivia, games and more
·
www.UsedBus.com - To market the company's fleet of excess buses currently available for sale to the public and vehicle buyers/exporters worldwide.
"FirstStudentInc.com is an excellent reference tool where people can research our industry," said Cheryl Duszak, Director of Marketing. All three sites will be expanded and updated on a continual basis in an effort to educate the public and remain at the forefront of the student transportation industry."
"Safety is our highest priority, and every procedure we have in place helps us live a safety culture," added First Student President Bruce Lyskawa. "FirstStudentKids.com was created as an informative tool for students, enabling them to learn about safety in an entertaining fashion."
When vehicles are taken out of service with contracted districts, First Student makes them available for sale to the public. Many repeat customers include church and youth groups, daycare centers and other organizations nationwide, as well as individuals looking to convert old buses for personal use. Through UsedBus.com, the public has access to the current available inventory 24 hours a day.
First Student, Inc. is an operating unit of First, plc, a worldwide public transportation company with annual revenues of approximately $3.5 billion.
